What is Alopecia?
I’m thrilled to be able to share my personal experiences, along with my clients, in cosmetic tattooing/permanent makeup. My first blog is going to be about Alopecia. What is Alopecia?
Alopecia areata is a condition affecting humans, in which hair is lost from areas of the body, usually from the scalp. In some cases, the condition can spread to the entire scalp (Alopecia totalis) or to the entire epidermis (Alopecia universalis). The condition, (Alopecia universalis), causes hair loss all over the body…including the face: brows, eyelashes and facial hair. This is where I come into the picture as a Permanent Makeup Artist/Micropigmentation Specialist. Women, men and children will all benefit with increased confidence from their improved appearance after permanent paramedical repigmentation is properly applied.
Typically there is concern as to whether or not the permanent makeup will look "natural" if or when natural hair growth should occur in the future. The answer is "yes".
